Abstract

Family relations have a special place in Western civil laws, which regulate both personal status and financial transactions in their civil texts. The laws of the Arab countries, including Iraq, were limited to regulating matters relating to financial transactions, without matters relating to personal status, where the task of organizing them was left to special laws, and for several considerations. However, this did not prevent the recent laws from members of special texts that regulate family relations in a manner different from those that regulate relations between individuals who do not have a family relationship. In this research, we tried to highlight the specificity of the legal organization of family relations in Iraqi civil law, dividing it into three demands. We dealt with the first demand, legal regulation on the issue of coercion. In the second demand, we dealt with legal regulation on the issue of limitation. In the third demand, we dealt with legal regulation on the subject of moral repugnance. We then followed by concluding with the most important conclusions and the most prominent recommendations.
