Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.
Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.
An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. Originality, Plagiarism, and AI-Generated Content Policy
At the Journal of Legal and Political Studies, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, legal ethics, and publishing excellence. To ensure the authenticity and scholarly value of all published research, every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous screening process prior to peer review.
1. Plagiarism Threshold and Text Duplication
All submissions are screened using advanced plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin) against a comprehensive global database of legal literature, political studies, and academic content.
The maximum acceptable similarity index (plagiarism rate) is 20%. Any manuscript exceeding this 20% threshold will be subject to immediate desk rejection without further evaluation.
Authors must ensure that all sources are properly cited and cross-referenced. Proper paraphrasing is required, and verbatim quoting must be kept to an absolute minimum and clearly marked.
2. AI-Generated Content and Transparency
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar LLMs) to generate substantive text, legal arguments, case law analysis, or literature summaries is strictly restricted.
The maximum acceptable AI-generated or AI-assisted content threshold is 20%.
The use of AI tools strictly for English language proofreading, grammatical corrections, and stylistic editing is fully acceptable and does not count towards this limit. However, any substantial AI assistance in drafting the manuscript must be transparently disclosed to the Editorial Office upon submission.
Undisclosed or detected AI-generated content exceeding 20% that compromises the original intellectual contribution of the author will result in an immediate rejection.
3. Ethical Compliance and Editorial Action
Authors bear sole responsibility for the authenticity, data integrity, and originality of their work. Manuscripts must not have been previously published or concurrently submitted to other journals. Any form of data fabrication, intellectual property theft, or duplication will be addressed strictly in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
