Abstract


This study examines the importance of multi-track diplomacy in enhancing the status of the regions, by taking the model of the Kurdistan Region, through an analytical and descriptive methodology we addressed the conceptual and mechanisms of multi-track diplomacy and demonstrated their importance in enhancing the status of the federal regions internationally and internally through the approach of studying the case of the Kurdistan Region, based on the hypothesis that these mechanisms enhance the status of the federal regions in international forums and build trust between the regions and the international community. We concluded our research with some results and recommendations, such as amending or adding legal articles to the Iraqi Constitution, the Foreign Service Law, and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
