This study provides an in-depth analysis of the impact of major projects, such as the Development Road and the David Corridor, on the national security of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Through this study, each of these projects, based on hegemony and development, will be "explained" and their impact on political stability, economic sovereignty, and security in the Kurdistan Region. The importance of the study lies in the coincidence of these initiatives with the growing geopolitical challenges in the region, which requires an understanding of the security dimensions of the Kurdistan Region to analyze the impact of these two projects on the region's national security. Ultimately, the most important conclusion of this study is that the Iraqi Development Road project threatens to marginalize the region economically and security-wise if it is not effectively integrated into its logistics routes. The Kurdistan Region could eventually become a regional logistics hub if it leverages its geographic location.
