Abstract
This study is devoted to studying international and national efforts to address irregular migration from Iraq, with a particular focus on irregular migration from Iraqi Kurdistan, including migration outside Iraq, as a prominent model at the present time and the result of various reasons such as political or economic, or escaping crises and instability, or liberation from the failure of governance, which constitutes a major topic for studies in both international and national law. It also aims to examine the challenges facing Iraq in migration issues, the causes and motivations for migration from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and the forced or voluntary return of migrants to the region. To this end, this research attempts to propose possible solutions to limit irregular migration from Iraq in general and from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in particular, as well as to consider the readmission and integration of returnees after their forced or voluntary return.
The study is divided into two axes.The first addresses international cooperation to combat irregular migration from Iraq, while the second focuses on national efforts to combat irregular migration from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
